Spring/Summer 2024 opens with luminous notes of verbena and lemon balm, leading with citrus clarity. Hints of lavender and orange thyme bring aromatic lift, while a subtle touch of valerian adds gentle, earthy depth. The warmth and sunshine of July concentrated flavour beautifully in our meadow botanicals, delivering a palate of exceptional precision and definition. Best enjoyed with a sprig of lemon verbena or orange thyme from your garden, complemented by a splash of light tonic for a perfectly balanced G&T.
The Spring–Summer 2024 season in Cambridge was marked by persistence and resilience. From March through July, rainfall remained above average, with few prolonged dry spells. While mild temperatures supported vigorous growth, the excess moisture reduced light exposure and created challenging conditions for our botanicals.
In response, our team hand-harvested with meticulous timing during fleeting balmy spells, selecting only the finest botanicals at their peak. Through cold distillation techniques, the most delicate aromatics were preserved, capturing the fleeting freshness of the season with uncompromising precision.
The result of this demanding cycle is not abundance, but focus. With only 400 bottles created, 2024 Spring/Summer represents a gin of clarity, restraint, and quiet resilience, a true luxury gin for collectors and connoisseurs.
